Let’s hear it for our 2023 Gold Award and Silver Award Girl Scouts!
This year's Gold Award Girl Scouts are 22 teen world-changers who spent a combined 2,781 hours on their projects ranging from helping women experiencing homelessness and spending time with newborn babies in need of extra TLC in the hospital, to advancing opportunities for minority women in STEAM careers. Five of them were also nominated for the prestigious Silver Knight Award presented by Miami Herald. The Silver Award Girl Scouts are 23 young women who collectively poured 1,300 service hours into bettering their community.
The awards ceremony will take place on June 4th at HistoryMiami Museum with keynote speaker Dr. Malou C. Harrison, Executive Vice President and Provost of Miami Dade College and a Girl Guide alum.
