The Girl Scout membership year runs from October 1 to September 30. Annual membership dues* are $65 for girl members and $30 for adult members.

Incentives
Patch: All girls who renew by May 31, 2026 – Early Bird patch
Renew by May 1 to receive Early Bird Patches for Troop end-of-year ceremony.
Camping Overnight: First troop to renew at least 80% of girls and at least 2 adults: free weekend (2 nights) at Camp Mahachee
Pizza Party: Troops that register 80% of girls and at least 2 troop leaders by May 1 will be placed in a drawing to win a pizza party with GSTF CEO Chelsea Wilkerson.
Summer Summit: Renewed volunteers of Troops who renew 80% of girls and at least 2 adults by May 31, 2026: reduced registration fee on Summer Summit for all renewed adults.
Team Player Cookie Bonus: Troops that renew at least 80% of girls and 2 adults by April 8 at 11:59 pm will receive an additional $0.05 per package sold towards the Team Player Bonus in the 2027 Cookie Program. The troop must qualify for the Team Player bonus.
Council Service Fee Refund: Troops are eligible to receive a refund of the council service fee for each girl registered during the Early Bird campaign only if all of the following conditions are met:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Timing: At least 80% of girls currently assigned to the troop and at least two (2) registered adults must complete full registration (including payment) between 8:00 AM EDT on April 1, 2026, and 11:59 PM EDT on April 5, 2026. Registrations submitted before 8:00 AM on April 1 or after 11:59 PM on April 5 do not count toward eligibility.
- Troop Bank Account Requirement: All registration payments for girls counted toward the 80% threshold must be paid from the troop bank account. Payments made directly by parents to council do not count toward incentive eligibility.
- Refund Method: Refunds will be issued only to the troop bank account. Refunds cannot be issued to individuals, parents, troop leaders’ personal accounts, or via cash/check to anyone other than the troop account.
- Parent Payment Handling: If a troop chooses to have parents reimburse the troop for the registration fee, the troop is solely responsible for collecting payments from parents and depositing them into the troop bank account before submitting registrations. Council is not responsible for tracking, verifying, or mediating parent reimbursements.
Important Clarifications on Council Service Fee Refund:
The 80% calculation is based on the troop’s official roster as of 7:59 AM EDT on April 1, 2026.
Only completed registrations paid from the troop bank account within the eligibility window count.
Adults registered outside the window do not count toward the minimum two adults.
