Summer Camp Programs
Summer Camp is one of our favorite Girl Scout traditions, and we can't wait to celebrate 30 years of summer camp South Miami Little House this year!
Join Sizzle and Moonlight for one or more weeks as we venture into our 30th anniversary of SMLH Camp Adventures together this summer. Plus, join us at Camp Mahachee for two magical weeks in July.

2024 Summer Camp Themes:
Week 1: Carnival! | South Miami Little House | 6/10/24 - 6/14/24
Parades and games and masks, oh my! Kick off Camp Little House’s 30th birthday with a camp-wide party complete with a parade and games galore. BE PREPARED to hike a trail and discover carnival traditions far and wide.
Carnival Activities & Campfire for all on Wednesday, June 12, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Week 2: Golden Spoon Remix | South Miami Little House | 6/17/24 - 6/21/24
It’s a double challenge! Chef Sizzle invites you to a Golden Spoon Challenge! Campers will stir, fold, and whip their way to delicious creations. Bio-scientist Moonlight invites you to zoom in and focus in a Microscope Challenge! You are also invited to participate in the Golden Spoon Banquet. What will we see, make, or do next?

Week 3: Sailin’ Away | South Miami Little House | 6/24/24 - 6/28/24
“Holo i kahakai mamao a hau’oli.” This translates as, “Sail to distant shores and celebrate.” Join us on our CLH-style journey to Hawaii! “Visiting” this archipelago we shall explore geology, geography, oceanography, their pa’ani (games) and traditions including a CLH-twist-luau.

Week 4: Camp Little House Olympics | South Miami Little House | 7/01/24 - 7/05/24 ( No Camp on July 4th)
Look out Paris – we aim to match your beats, and birdies, with our own bullseyes this summer. En garde! Join us for our opening celebration as the field of champions goes on parade. Enjoy creating a healthy sports snack amidst our games. Closing ceremonies will take place on Friday at 2:30 pm; family and friends are welcome to attend.

Week 5: Remember This | South Miami Little House | 7/08/24 - 7/12/24
Explore the creations and statements of architectural designer and sculptor, Maya Y. Lin. Art week is alive and well at CLH as we engage our senses plus build with intention to make a statement with our art. Naturally this includes the ever popular – COLOR WAR! Along with this attempt to outdo each other in support of our units we shall indulge in a spectacular edible creation.

Week 6: Into the Future… | South Miami Little House | 7/15/24 - 7/19/24
With “Remember This” we looked at the past, current, and pondered the future. The CLH Olympics gave us physical challenges in the present. Now, we move onward, into the future! From little things we can each do for this planet upon which we live we move onward to explore what renewed space exploration and living aboard the International Space Station has taught us about living in the beyond. Hmmm, which do you fancy, soft-serve or space ice cream?

Week 7: Mission Impossible | Camp Mahachee | 7/22/24 - 7/26/24
Welcome, secret agents! Your mission this week – if you choose to accept it – is work with your unit agents to decode the secret message that will help you escape the Mahachee Escape Room. All missions aim to teach agents teamwork in a fun way. Campers will work together toward a common goal, allowing them to appreciate everyone’s unique talents and strengths!

Week 8: Camp Hogwarts | Camp Mahachee | 7/29/24 - 8/02/24
From the moment campers are sorted into houses, the magic begins! This week will see us playing quidditch, making wands, playing Harry Potter Jeopardy (we always encourage reading), dueling, learning about magical creatures, and making house banners – plus, there are always surprises!
Mini Resident Week Sleep Over, Juniors and Up, Wednesday July 31 - Friday August 2. $60 additional fee
