Congratulations to our 2024 Gold and Silver Award Girl Scouts! On Sunday, June 9, we celebrated these remarkable young women at the FIU Wertheim Performing Arts Center for their outstanding achievements.
Our Gold Award Girl Scouts include 20 incredible teens from Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys. These young leaders have collectively dedicated over 2,700 hours to create significant impacts on issues that matter to them. Three Girl Scouts were also nominated for the prestigious Silver Knight Award by the Miami Herald.
Meanwhile, our Silver Award Girl Scouts are 28 dedicated young women who have collectively invested 1,500 hours into community service, making a difference in their communities.
Special guest speaker FIU’s Bridgette Cram, a Gold Award Girl Scout, addressed the girls during Sunday’s awards ceremony, celebrating the girls for their achievements.
GSTF Board members Ana VeigaMilton, philanthropist; Dawn Javersack, Sr. VP and CFO, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital; and Isa Nunez, VP Facilities, Design and Construction, Jackson Health System, presented scholarships to Girl Scouts on behalf of the José Milton Foundation (Jenna A.), Nicklaus Children’s Health System (Grace W.), and Jackson Health System (Julianna C.).
We are so very proud of their hard work and commitment to creating positive change!
