  • How To Renew
two Junior Girl Scouts sitting on a boulder

The biggest Girl Scout adventures are still ahead.

Whether you have a girl in Girl Scouts or are a dedicated volunteer, so much has been accomplished, discovered, and explored over the past year. And there’s even more ahead—more opportunities to try new things and to remain part of something truly special, supportive, and inspiring year after year.

The Girl Scout membership year runs from October 1, 2026  to September 30, 2027. Annual membership dues are $65 for girl members and $30 for adult members. Additional local feels fees and discounts may apply. Financial aid may be available. Girl Scout memberships must be renewed annually.

Get this year's Early Bird incentives!

The early bird gets the patch, and so much more! When you continue your Girl Scout experience, you not only get another year of adventure, you can earn patches, events and more! To qualify for incentives, renew between April 1 - May 31, 2026 (unless otherwise noted).

New!: Tips for How To Renew Your Troop

Incentives

  • Patch: All girls who renew by May 31, 2026 – Early Bird patch
Renew by May 1 to receive Early Bird Patches for Troop end-of-year ceremony.

  • Camping Overnight: First troop to renew at least 80% of girls and at least 2 adults: free weekend (2 nights) at Camp Mahachee

  • Pizza Party: Troops that register 80% of girls and at least 2 troop leaders by May 1 will be placed in a drawing to win a pizza party with GSTF CEO Chelsea Wilkerson.

  • Summer Summit: Renewed volunteers of Troops who renew 80% of girls and at least 2 adults by May 31, 2026: reduced registration fee on Summer Summit for all renewed adults.

  • Team Player Cookie Bonus: Troops that renew at least 80% of girls and 2 adults by April 8 at 11:59 pm will receive an additional $0.05 per package sold towards the Team Player Bonus in the 2027 Cookie Program. The troop must qualify for the Team Player bonus.

  • Council Service Fee Refund: Troops are eligible to receive a refund of the council service fee for each girl registered during the Early Bird campaign only if all of the following conditions are met:

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Timing: At least 80% of girls currently assigned to the troop and at least two (2) registered adults must complete full registration (including payment) between 8:00 AM EDT on April 1, 2026, and 11:59 PM EDT on April 5, 2026. Registrations submitted before 8:00 AM on April 1 or after 11:59 PM on April 5 do not count toward eligibility.

  • Troop Bank Account Requirement: All registration payments for girls counted toward the 80% threshold must be paid from the troop bank account. Payments made directly by parents to council do not count toward incentive eligibility.

  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued only to the troop bank account. Refunds cannot be issued to individuals, parents, troop leaders’ personal accounts, or via cash/check to anyone other than the troop account.

  • Parent Payment Handling: If a troop chooses to have parents reimburse the troop for the registration fee, the troop is solely responsible for collecting payments from parents and depositing them into the troop bank account before submitting registrations. Council is not responsible for tracking, verifying, or mediating parent reimbursements.

Important Clarifications on Council Service Fee Refund:

  • The 80% calculation is based on the troop’s official roster as of 7:59 AM EDT on April 1, 2026.

  • Only completed registrations paid from the troop bank account within the eligibility window count.

  • Adults registered outside the window do not count toward the minimum two adults.

**Annual membership dues are $65 for girls and $30 for adults.**  Learn more.

Why isn’t my username working?
Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact our Customer Care team.

Why am I not receiving the password reset emails?
The password reset emails come from gsusacustomercare@girlscouts.org, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact our Customer Care team to verify that your username/email address is correct.

How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
Our Customer Care team can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account. Contact us to get started.

Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
There are a couple reasons this could happen:

  • Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact our Customer Care team if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.

  • You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact our Customer Care team to merge the two accounts into one.

Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
There are several reasons this could happen:

  • Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.

  • Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.

  • Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Contact us to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.

  • If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.

Our Customer Care team can provide additional support.
