Get swept up in science! Join us for an unforgettable STEM adventure in partnership with the University of Miami Rosenstiel School's Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies and NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory. Girl Scouts will go behind the scenes with tours of active research laboratories, engage in hands-on hurricane science investigations, and connect with women scientists and graduate students pursuing careers in marine and atmospheric science. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to explore hurricane research firsthand while completing one or more steps of the STEM Career Exploration Badge.
Location: Rosenstiel School / Key Biscayne
Cost: Girl fee is $5, includes lunch and fun patch.
This is a drop-off event. Girl Scouts will participate independently. Parents and guardians may leave after check-in or wait in a designated parent area on the Rosenstiel School campus during the program. Waiver and forms for all participants must be completed in advance (will be emailed).
