Every month, GSTF hosts a Friday night virtual fireside chat with a woman in a STEM profession. This month, we're chatting with Adele Luta, a physicist and innovator who helps support humans exploring extreme environments - like deep underwater or in outer space. She's worked at NASA's Johnson Space Center as a Flight Controller and Astronaut Instructor, supporting over 90 spacewalks! We'll learn about the challenges of living in extreme environments, and the gear and innovations humans will need to survive there. Don't miss this exciting chat with a real-life explorer (and former Girl Scout!) to find out what it's like to take a phone call from space!
Badge/Patch information:
Registered Girl Scouts will receive a central fun patch for
their first virtual Women in STEM event, and one rocker bar for every
additional night they attend.
All attendees will complete one
step of their STEM Career Exploration Badge.
This is a family
event; all levels are invited.
