Join us for Season 3 of our Women in STEM series! Every month, GSTF hosts a Friday night virtual fireside chat with a woman in a STEM profession. On this night, we will meet and chat with Elizabeth Starr, an Architect with Strang Design, a Miami-based home architecture firm. Born in Cuba, but raised in Miami, Elizabeth grew up with a love of music- playing piano, clarinet and sax. Though she loved music, she decided to not pursue it as a career, and chose instead to attend University of Miami's School of Architecture. Nowadays, Elizabeth combines her skills in math, engineering and drawing, with her love of design, to help clients build dream homes. Tune in to find out more about Elizabeth's path into Architecture, and why she thinks home design is way more fun and interesting than just walls and windows!
Cost: $3 (In council), $5 (Out of Council) includes mailed Fun Patch or Rocker Bar.
Badge/Patch information:
Registered Girl Scouts will receive a central fun patch for their first virtual Women in STEM event, and one rocker bar for every additional night they attend.
All attendees will complete one step of their STEM Career Exploration Badge.
This is a family event; all levels are invited.
