Join us for Season 3 of our Women in STEM series! Every month, GSTF hosts a Friday night virtual fireside chat with a woman in a STEM profession. On this night, we will meet and chat with Maddie Brightbill. Maddie is a PhD Candidate who is currently studying thermomorphogenesis - which is just a very big word meaning 'how plants physically respond to changing temperatures'! As global temperatures continue to rise, she is especially interested in what plants can do to help themselves survive. Tune in to find out more about Maddie's path into Plant Genetics, and why she thinks combining molecular lab work and gardening is ultimately good for the world (and very fun)!

Cost: $3 (In council), $5 (Out of Council) includes mailed Fun Patch or Rocker Bar.
Badge/Patch information:
Registered Girl Scouts will receive a central fun patch for their first virtual Women in STEM event, and one rocker bar for every additional night they attend.
All attendees will complete one step of their STEM Career Exploration Badge.
This is a family event; all levels are invited.

This event will be recorded.
