A new orbit begins - join the GSTF Astronomy Club for our 4th year of
exploring the cosmos!
This girl-led leadership experience gives
Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador-level Girl Scouts an
opportunity to explore telescopes and the universe. Girls will learn
about objects in the night sky, how to use a telescope, and how to
share the night sky with others. We hold in-person monthly meetings at
Camp Mahachee, with occasional meetings elsewhere. You choose which
dates you want to attend!
The $30 registration fee covers all
club events for MY2025-2026, meeting supplies*, a fun patch (returning
members receive a pin), and free access to our Virtual Guiding Stars
Astronomy Series.
Meeting times will vary depending on sunset.
Observing nights begin no earlier than 6:30 p.m. and no later than
9:30 p.m., with meetings lasting 1.5 to 2 hours. Some sessions will
include hands-on activities before sunset (e.g., 4:30-6:30 p.m.),
followed by evening observing.
