Girl Scouts Seniors and Ambassadors are invited to a web conference with Kate Schatz, author of the new book, Rad Girls Can (with Miriam Klein Stahl).  Kate will be sharing her story, how she was inspired to become an activist and how her activism helped build her confidence as a girl - and then a woman.  She’ll tell us about some of the amazing girls and young women featured in her book, who’ve all done incredible things – all before the age of 20.  This book is for every girl who has stood up, spoken out, taken a chance, tried something new, followed a dream and made the world a better place.  Kate will be appearing at the Miami Book Fair in November and girls who attend this session will receive tickets to the Book Fair so that they can visit with her in person.

Kate Schatz and Miriam Klein Stahl are the author and illustrator of the New York Times best-selling books Rad American Women A-Z, Rad Women Worldwide and My Rad Life: A Journal.  Learn more at www.radgirlscan.com
