Daisy / Brownie / Junior Girl Scouts Programs
Teddy Bear Tea
What do teddy bears and tea have in common? Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts are welcome to come find out. Girls learn table etiquette, manners and meeting and greeting. Junior Girl Scouts are invited to volunteer at the Teddy Bear Tea to earn their Junior Aide Patch.
Camp O.U.T.
Open to Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts. This weekend camping event is for new troops who have not had a camping experience. Basic outdoor camping skills will be covered and all food is provided.
Princess Ball
A formal dance for individual girls accompanied by a special adult escort. Year after year, this special event creates memories for young girls and their special 'escorts'...a dad, an uncle, a brother...it is a time to be with just 'him.' This is a very special night for Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts. |

Teen Leadership for Girls Ages 11-17

Cadettes and Seniors learn what is available to them throughout the year. Gold and Silver training, Wider Opportunities, Counselor in Training, Leader in Training, Program Aid training and Girls at the Center. Click here to learn more!
Counselor in Training and Program Aide Training
This weekend event is for the Cadette and Senior girls who would like to serve in a leadership role year round with groups, troops and at events to gain service hours. For any additional information, please call 305-253-4841, ext. 225
Destinations
Destinations take a girl beyond her troop setting locally, nationally or internationally. Training and information is given in the fall. Girls must apply through Council; applications will be forwarded to the event of their choice. Great opportunities for Cadettes and Seniors. Cadettes and Seniors receive the Wider OP book directly from GSUSA in August. If you do not receive a book, call the Council for a copy. Click here for online information.
Teen Encampment
An overnight designed just for girls 11 to 17 years old! Girls learn new skills while doing the fun things that makes Camp Choee FUN!
Leader-In-Training (LIT) Training
A Leader-in-Training completes a group leadership course and works with a mentor adult leader in a Daisy, Brownie, Junior or Cadette Girl Scout Troop. A Leader-in-Training project usually spans a five-to-eight month period, with time divided between course sessions and 25 hours of actual work with a troop or other Girl Scout group. A Leader-in-Training must have completed ninth grade before beginning this project. For any additional information please call 305.253.4841 x 225.
Gold and Silver Award Training
For Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts along with their parents and Leaders. These trainings provide information on earning the highest awards in Girl Scouting -- the Silver and Gold Award. Upon completion of their award - girls are invited to attend the Gold Award Ceremony celebrating their accomplishments where they receive commendations from the President of the United States, The House of Representatives, The Senate, Florida's Office of the Governor and the United States Armed Forces among others.

Programs for All Ages
Opera Workshops
Workshop features an opera preview with each girl participating in acting, dancing, theater make-up application and exciting crafts. Girls receive a beautiful patch and a complimentary ticket to attend a production of the Florida Grand Opera.
Cookies & Milk Songfest
Join in on the Girl Scout tradition learning and singing Girl Scout songs with fellow Girl Scouts while enjoying snacks.
Girl Scout Rallies & Family Picnics
All Girl Scouts, their families and prospective Girl Scouts are invited to the Girl Scout Rallies & Family Picnics. Activities include rock wall, bounce house, arts & crafts, and many others. Troops are invited to set-up booths with activities.
Uniquely ME! Reading in the Park
Reading in the Park promotes literacy in the community through storytelling activities and offers Junior Girl Scouts the World Trotting and Theatre Badges and Brownie Girl Scouts the People of the World and Let's Pretend Try-Its.
Cookie Rally
Want to learn how cookies are made? What ingredients make them taste good? What ingredients make them healthy? Girls learn the
science of cooking, the art of selling and walk for a good cause.
Colonial Christmas
Step back in time as Girl Scouts recreate the spirit of the holidays colonial style. Learn how to make decorations, play games and enjoy delicious snacks from a time when this country was just getting started.
The Buds Club
The Buds Club was established for troops and girls to easily follow a monthly suggestion of community service needs. Follow the recommended projects or create your own monthly service projects and earn petals to complete a flower. The center of the flower is provided free with a donation (of at least $10) to the Friends of Girl Scouting Campaign (FOGS).
Outdoor Fun Day
An outdoor FUN DAY for children with disabilities. Children from Miami-Dade Public Schools come together to enjoy sports programs and Girl Scout activities. Three Fun Days are held during the year county-wide.
