Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Who We Are:
Girls Scout Council of Tropical Florida, Inc. was incorporated in 1963 with the vision to develop qualities in girls that will serve them all their lives, such as leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. We serve over 20,000 girls and adult volunteers in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
Our vision of empowering girls to be the leaders of tomorrow is deeply rooted in our history of over 100 years.
The Council Leadership is a reflection of the richness in our community and to the diversity that is celebrated within our organization. 2012 Annual Report.
Girl Scout Programs launch girls on a Journey of their choice from the National Leadership Journeys series. They will earn awards, have fun, and take on projects that will change the world. The programs could not continue without funding specific needs.
In an effort to support the membership, five campsites are available for troop and leader meetings, training workshops and program activities. Our facilities are used daily to meet the needs of our community, and each campsite needs ongoing maintenance and TLC.
